provides a plan and budget for the continuation of
Geophysical Surveys and Exploratory Drilling in the New
Baltimore Service District, Hydrogeologic Assessments of
Sensitive Groundwater Development Protection Areas in
Bealeton, Warrenton, and Remington Service Districts, and

contract for Water Resource Management Plan & Consultant
Services as a result of Request For Proposals (RFP)
#63-05sm, released January 6, 2005. Seven (7) proposals
were received and evaluated as a result of the RFP, and a
contract was negotiated and awarded in a not-to-exceed
amount of $72,000 to EGGI as the top-ranked firm.
Modification #1 for $5,500 was issued in May 2005,
resulting in a revised contract total of $77,500. On
September 14, 2006, Modification #2 for $250,000 for
groundwater exploration and development investigations in
the New Baltimore Service District, as well as a plan to
initiate groundwater investigations within the Marshall
Service District, both efforts are a result of recent Board
of Supervisors’ directives, was authorized by the Board of
Supervisors.
Per Procurement Policy
Section 4.1.15, no fixed-price contract may be increased by
more than 25% of the contract or $50,000, whichever is
greater, without the advance written approval of the Board
of Supervisors. The attached resolution approves and
authorizes an increase of $250,000 to EGGI, Contract
#63-05smc, to include FY 2008-2009 the continuation of
Geophysical Surveys and Exploratory Drilling in the New
Baltimore Service District, Hydrogeologic Assessments of
