A Resolution to Initiate A Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to Chapter 11 of the Zoning Ordinance to Revise Standards Related to Telecommunications Tower Approvals and Confirm the Requirement for a Special Exceptions Within 100 Feet of Roads, Streets, Highways and Rights of Way

Topic Description:

The Circuit Court recently issued a ruling which is inconsistent with the Board of Supervisors’ intent with respect to special exception requirements within and within 100 feet of public rights-of-way.  The proposed amendments will address this issue and clarify other aspects of the ordinance.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
