PROCLAMATION A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITIZENS OF FAUQUIER COUNTY WHEREAS, every four years, Fauquier County is required by law to reassess the value of all of the real property, including improvements, within the County; and WHEREAS, the Code of Virginia requires the Circuit Court of Fauquier County to establish a Board of Equalization as a method to equalize valuations for such reassessment; and WHEREAS, for the 2006 reassessment, the Circuit Court of Fauquier County appointed John P. Schied, Harry E. McConnell, and Ida James Light to serve as the Board of Equalization; and WHEREAS, Fauquier County employed Gladys R. Frazier to serve as Administrative Assistant to the Board of Equalization; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize each member of the Board of Equalization and their Administrative Assistant for the dedicated service rendered in serving on and for the Board of Equalization; now, therefore, be it PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of November 2006, That John P. Schied, Harry E. McConnell, Ida James Light, and Gladys R. Frazier be, and are hereby, recognized and commended for their service to the citizens of Fauquier County.
