In the 2005
session, the Virginia General Assembly authorized funding
for a study of a possible alternative to Route 15 between
Route 29 and Interstate 66 in Fauquier and Prince William
Counties. Associated with this authorization, the Virginia
Department of Transportation identified $100,000 in its
2005-2006 Six-Year Improvement Program for a Pre-NEPA Study
of a Buckland Bypass.
The
proposed resolution indicates the County’s willingness to
participate in the joint study, with the Virginia Department
of Transportation Culpeper District and Fauquier County
serving as the lead agencies on the oversight and
coordination of the study. |
