RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE FY 2010 ADOPTED BUDGET BY $4,309,578 WHEREAS, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors is charged by the Code of Virginia with the preparation of an annual budget for Fauquier County; and WHEREAS, on March 31, 2009, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Fauquier County FY 2010 Budget; and WHEREAS, at its meeting on November 12, 2009, staff presented a discussion of the County’s fiscal status at the end of FY 2009; and WHEREAS, during its presentation staff provided recommendations to carry forward projects that were budgeted but not completed in FY 2009 to FY 2010, as identified on Attachment 1; and WHEREAS, the recommended projects total $4,309,578; and WHEREAS, the Code of Virginia §15.2-2507 requires a public hearing when amendments to the budget exceed 1% of total expenditures; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 12, 2009; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 12th day of November 2009, That the FY 2010 budget be, and is hereby, amended in the amount of $4,309,578, as indicated on the attached summary.
