Topic Description: |

The Marshall Business and
Residents Association is applying for a Transportation
Enhancement grant to provide funds for the construction of
improvements to Route 55 (Main Street) in the unincorporated
Town of Marshall, Virginia, as Phase II of the Marshall
Moving Forward project. The project would include the
reconstruction of sidewalks, construction of bicycle and
pedestrian amenities, undergrounding of utilities and
landscaping. The Marshall Business and Residents Association
is asking that Fauquier County agree to act as a grant
sponsor. This project was awarded TEA funds in FY 2009 for
the design phase, and in FY 2010 for the first phase of
construction.

consider adoption of the attached
resolution. |

Financial Impacts Analysis: |
|
The local match requirement
will be met by an in-kind donation from a Marshall
businessman. No County funds will be required for this
grant. |
