A Resolution to Adopt Policies Required by the Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grant


Topic Description:

The County has been awarded a Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grant of $1.5 million from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), to procure and rehabilitate up to nine abandoned and foreclosed homes to be re-sold to qualified homebuyers, and the rehabilitation and rental of one home, for the purpose of stabilizing identified neighborhoods.

The terms of this grant require that the following be adopted by the Board of Supervisors:

  • Local Business and Employment Plan
  • Grievance Procedure
  • Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Plan

The basic verbiage for the proposed policies was provided by DHCD in the grant documents.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider the attached resolution to adopt the required policies.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

There is no financial impact resulting from the adoption of these policies.
