A
Resolution Authorizing Payment of Approximately $3,120.00
From the Reserve for Contingency for the Slurry Sealing of
Roads in Lees Glen Subdivision
|
|
Topic Description: |
|
The roads in Lees Glen Subdivision
are intended to be taken into the Virginia Department of
Transportation State Secondary System of Highways; however,
the developer has not completed the roads sufficient for
Virginia Department of Transportation acceptance. The
remaining road work involves the application of slurry seal
and the County has received a bid in the amount of
$17,120.00 for that work. In order to fund the slurry
sealing of the Lees Glen Subdivision Roads, it is proposed
that funds remaining from the substantially complete Bethel
Academy Subdivision roads project be used, along with funds
from the Reserve for Contingency. The funds remaining from
the Bethel Academy project are anticipated to be $14,000.00,
which would leave a balance of approximately $3,120.00 to be
taken from the Reserve for Contingency. The attached
resolution authorizes the funding for the Lees Glen slurry
seal project and further authorizes the involvement of
County staff in this project. |
