RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF THE PUBLIC SAFETY RADIO SYSTEM SHARED FACILITIES AGREEMENT WITH RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY

            WHEREAS, Fauquier County and Culpeper County presently use the 800 MHz public safety radio system; and

            WHEREAS, coverage can be extended to Rappahannock County utilizing existing facilities in Fauquier and Culpeper; and

            WHEREAS, the proposal provides a cost effective approach to improved service in Rappahannock County and strengthens interoperability and coordination for all three jurisdictions; and

            WHEREAS, Rappahannock is offering a one-time payment for use of shared equipment and a contribution toward the maintenance of the equipment; now, therefore, be it

            RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 13^th day of November 2008, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the County Administrator to execute a public safety radio shared facilities agreement with Rappahannock County.
