Topic: A Resolution to Adopt the 2004-2005 Through 2009-2010 Secondary Road Six Year Plan and the 2004-2005 Fiscal Year Budget

Topic Description:

Pursuant to Section 33.1-70.01 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, a joint public hearing will be held with the Board of Supervisors and Resident Engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary System Construction Program for Fiscal Years 2004-2005 through Fiscal Years 2009-2010.  Copies of the proposed Program and Budget may be reviewed at the Virginia Department of Transportation, Warrenton Residency Office, located at 457 East Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, Virginia.  VDOT's summary of the projects is attached.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Hold a joint public hearing with the Virginia Department of Transportation, to receive citizens’ comments, and consider adoption of the attached resolution. 

Transportation Committee Recommendation:

On October 29, 2003 , the Transportation Committee unanimously recommended approval of the Secondary Road Six Year Plan and Budget.

Financial Impact Analysis:

VDOT has submitted estimated program allocations and a budget for the Secondary System Construction Program for these proposed improvements, which is attached.
