Due to the retirement of
Carolyn Bowen, the Board of Supervisors approved a resolution
establishing a part-time, permanent, position, with specific
terms, in Community Development.
It provided the County an opportunity to retain a valued
employee and maintain overall operations in building and zoning,
while the completing the advertising, interview and selection
process for the Chief of Zoning, Inspections and Permitting
vacancy.
The part-time permanent
position authorization expires on
December 31, 2002
.
The interview process will commence in mid-November;
however, when a successful candidate will be hired and be on the
job, as Chief of Zoning, Inspections and Permitting, is an unknown
at this time. To
maintain building and zoning management operations, it is
recommended the part-time, permanent, position be extended to
March
31, 2002
.
