PROCLAMATION  

A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF  MARSHALL BAILEY IN STRENGTHENING FAUQUIER COUNTY GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS  

            WHEREAS,  Marshall Bailey has worked, for the past year, with Fauquier County and other Virginia local government agencies under the loaned executive program of the Defense Logistics Agency; and

            WHEREAS,  Marshall Bailey has made a significant contribution to Fauquier County government by leading management development programs to improve the skills of County staff members; and

            WHEREAS,  Marshall Bailey has assisted County departments in establishing program measures to promote accountability and high service standards; and

            WHEREAS,  Marshall Bailey has provided direction and leadership to County staff in the initiation of the Balanced Scorecard Program which promotes effectiveness and efficiency of local government; and

            WHEREAS,  Marshall Bailey has worked with the Board of Supervisors to clarify policy expectations and to support the Balanced Scorecard Initiative; now, therefore, be it

            PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 18^th day of November 2002, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby express its appreciation to  Marshall Bailey for his significant contributions to the enhancement of good management practices in Fauquier County ; and, be it

            PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors extends its best wishes to Marshall Bailey in all future endeavors.
