PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION TO HONOR WAYNE EDMONDS UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT

            WHEREAS, Wayne Edmonds has recently announced his retirement from his position in the Business Taxation Division of the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue; and

            WHEREAS, Wayne Edmonds began his employment with Fauquier County as the first Business License Inspector on November 7, 1988 ; and

            WHEREAS, Wayne Edmonds assisted in the 1994 conversion to the Bright & Associates System, which aided in the streamlining of tracking of both Business License and Business Personal Property assessments; and

            WHEREAS, Wayne Edmonds has been instrumental in executing the business tax function of the Office, frequently dealing one on one with citizens resolving issues regarding the property tax on business assets; and

            WHEREAS, throughout his employment with Fauquier County , Wayne Edmonds has provided thoughtful and courteous service to the citizens of Fauquier County ; now, therefore, be it

            PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 18th day of November 2002, That on behalf of Fauquier County residents who have had the opportunity to work with Wayne, the Board of Supervisors does hereby express, upon his retirement, its sincere thanks, appreciation, and admiration for the many years of dedicated service provided by Wayne Edmonds ; and, be it

            PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Board of Supervisors, on behalf of all citizens of Fauquier County , extends best wishes to Wayne Edmonds and his family for continued good health, happiness and success in all future endeavors.
