Topic:

VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SECONDARY SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEARS 2003-2004 THROUGH FISCAL YEARS 2008-2009

Topic Description:

Pursuant to Section 33.1-70.01 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, a joint public hearing will be held with the Board of Supervisors and Resident Engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary System Construction Program for Fiscal Years 2003-2004 through Fiscal Years 2008-2009.  Copies of the proposed Program and Budget may be reviewed at the Warrenton Residency Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 457 East Shirley Avenue , Warrenton , Virginia . 

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:

Hold a joint public hearing with the Virginia Department of Transportation and receive citizen comment on the Six-Year Improvement Program budget.  After receiving citizen comment, the Board of Supervisors may consider closing the hearing and postponing action until the Transportation Committee makes a recommendation to the Board.

Financial Impact Analysis:

Virginia Department of Transportation has submitted estimated program allocations and a budget for Secondary System Construction Program for these proposed improvements.

Virginia Department of Transportation and the citizens of Fauquier County .

Transportation Committee Recommendation:

The Transportation Committee has not made a recommendation on the FY 2004 through FY 2009 budget.
