A Resolution to Approve a Cooperative Agreement with the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District for Conservation Easements Acquired Under the Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) Program

 

Topic Description:

On June 21, 2004, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Virginia Outdoors Foundation to serve as a co-holder of conservation easements purchased pursuant to the PDR program.  The John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District has agreed to serve as a co-holder as well.  Co-holders of such easements provide added assurance that the conservation purposes of such easements will be enforced and maintained.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
