WHEREAS, Priscilla Craig, owner, and K. Hovnanian, applicant, have initiated an application to amend the Fauquier County Zoning Map in accordance with the provisions of Zoning Ordinance Sections 13-202 to rezone 13.09 acres of land from Rural Agricultural (RA) to Residential (R-4) for a residential subdivision of twenty-six (26) dwelling units; and


WHEREAS, the parcel known as PIN 6889-63-5498-000 comprises this request; and


WHEREAS, on October 27, 2005 and April 26, 2005, the Fauquier County Planning Commission held a public hearing on the Rezoning request and recommended that the application in its current form be approved; and


WHEREAS, on December 8, 2005, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on this Rezoning request and considered both oral and written testimony; and


            WHEREAS, by the adoption of this Ordinance the Board of Supervisors has determined that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare, or good zoning practice is satisfied by this amendment to the Fauquier County Zoning Map; now, therefore, be it


            ORDAINED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 8th day of December 2005, That the Rezoning request REZN05-LE-010, Craig Property, to change the Zoning Map designation of 13.09 acres of land from RA to R-4, be, and is hereby, approved subject to the Craig Property Concept Development Plan & Rezoning Plat prepared by Christopher Consultants, dated July 22, 2005 and received on August 16, 2005, and the Proffer Statement dated November 22, 2005.
