A RESOLUTION REVISING THE FAUQUIER COUNTY PROFFER POLICY FOR RESIDENTIAL ELEMENTS OF REZONING APPLICATIONS
WHEREAS, on October 21, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted a Proffer Policy, and revised it by resolution on July 21, 2003; and
WHEREAS, from July through September 2005, the Planning Commission reviewed and updated the Proffer Policy and its underlying public infrastructure costs; and
WHEREAS, on October 27, 2005, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed revisions to the Proffer Policy for Residential Rezoning Applications; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission forwarded the Proposed Proffer Policy to the Board of Supervisors with a unanimous recommendation for adoption; and
WHEREAS, on December 8, 2005, the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on the proposed changes; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds this revised Proffer Policy to be in the best interest of the citizens of Fauquier County and provides an updated tool with which to deal with infrastructure costs generated through proposed residential rezoning applications; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 8th day of December 2005, That the Proffer Policy attached shall apply to all residential elements for any rezoning application.
