A
Resolution to Authorize the Chairman of the Board of
Supervisors to Accept the Dedication of Real Property in the
Cedar Brooke Subdivision
|
|
Topic
Description: |
|
The approved rezoning for the Reynard’s Crossing development
included a proffered condition that “at the time of the
recordation of the final plat, the Applicant shall dedicate
to Fauquier County the property identified in the Concept
Plan as the Library site consisting of 2.945 acres, to be
used by Fauquier County for construction and maintenance of
the Library or for a fire and rescue station or other public
use consistent with the neighborhood, at the discretion of
the County. The Applicant or its successors will provide
the County such further documentation as shall be necessary
to affect the transfer of fee simple title to the County.”
The developer is now requesting approval of the Final Plat
that includes the above referenced dedication, which has
been increased to 3.5 acres. While the above referenced
library site has been located at a different site in
Bealeton, and the site was determined to not be appropriate
for a fire and rescue site, the Parks and Recreation
Department has indicated that it would like the property.
The proposed resolution would authorize the Chairman of the
Board of Supervisors to accept the dedication of this public
use site, contingent upon receipt of an acceptable
environmental audit report. |
