PROCLAMATION

A PROCLAMATION TO RECOGNIZE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR G. ROBERT LEE FOR HIS OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND THE CITIZENS OF FAUQUIER COUNTY

            WHEREAS, in October 1990, G. Robert Lee was appointed as County Administrator of Fauquier County; and

            WHEREAS, G. Robert Lee has almost thirty years experience in local government public service; and

WHEREAS, G. Robert Lee has demonstrated exemplary integrity, dedication and vision in his leadership of the County government; and

            WHEREAS, G. Robert Lee has worked rigorously to promote conservation easements and encourage land use planning and ordinances to protect the natural and historic resources in Fauquier County; and

            WHEREAS, G. Robert Lee has served as the primary architect of and advocate for the Purchase of Development Rights program for agricultural lands; and

            WHEREAS, G. Robert Lee is a recipient of the Local Official Award from the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association and the District Conservationist Award from the Lord Fairfax Soil and Water Conservation District; and

            WHEREAS, G. Robert Lee was appointed by the Governor as Chairman of the Shenandoah River Basin Committee and member of the Virginia Commission on Population Growth and Development, and has served as the elected Chairman for the Virginia Municipal Liability Pool Insurance Program; and

            WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to recognize and commend G. Robert Lee for his dedication, guidance and outstanding service to the Board and to the citizens of Fauquier County; now, therefore; be it

            PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 9^th day of December 2004, That G. Robert Lee is hereby recognized and commended, and that his leadership will be sorely missed; and be it

            PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby extend its heartfelt best wishes to G. Robert Lee in all of his future endeavors.
