A Resolution to Amend the Board of Supervisor’s Legislative Proposals for the 2009 General Assembly

Topic Description:

This is a resolution to amend the Board of Supervisors 2009 Legislative Priorities to request authority to impose an additional 3% transient occupancy tax, the proceeds from which are restricted to tourism purposes.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

The Commissioner of the Revenue estimates revenue from the tax at $128,000.
