Topic: 

A Resolution Authorizing the County Administrator and the County Attorney to Execute All Documents Necessary to Acquire an 8.2 Acre Parcel of Land Owned by Janet N. Shannon

Topic Description:

The proposed resolution authorizes the County Attorney and County Administrator to take all actions necessary to acquire an 8.2 acre tract of land, PIN # 6982-97-5456-000, located adjacent to the Corral Farm Landfill.  The land will provide an added buffer for the landfill.  The site could also potentially be used for other County purposes such as a firing range for the Sheriff’s Office.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Funds are available in the Landfill Enterprise Fund for the acquisition for this property.
