A Resolution Approving Travel Expenses in Accordance with Travel Policy and Procedures – Department of Information Technology

Topic Description:

Fauquier County’s adopted Personnel Policy Section AP-06 (“Travel Policy and Procedures”) requires Board of Supervisors’ approval where expenses for travel will exceed $1,000. 

The Department of Information Technology is requesting approval for Jeanne Shutt and Carol Wood to attend Workflow 6.0 Advanced Developer Training in Bellevue, Washington, January 6-12, 2007.  The total cost is estimated to be $7,500.  This workflow module is being integrated into the Community Development application tracking system that is scheduled for release during the second quarter of 2007.  Other methods of providing this training have been reviewed and were either ineffective or more costly than sending technicians to this class.  This class is only offered in Washington state.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
