Topic: A Resolution to Adopt the 2004-2005 through 2009-2010 Secondary Road Six Year Plan and the 2004-2005 Fiscal Year Budget
Pursuant to Section 33.1-70.01 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, a joint public hearing will been held with the Board of Supervisors and Resident Engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to receive public comment on the proposed Secondary System Construction Program for Fiscal Years 2004-2005 through Fiscal Years 2009-2010. Copies of the proposed Program and Budget may be reviewed at the Warrenton Residency Office of the Virginia Department of Transportation, located at 457 East Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, Virginia.
On November 17, 2003, the Board of Supervisors and VDOT held a public hearing and received citizen comment on the proposed Six Year Plan for Secondary Roads. The attached resolution has be revised to reflect Moss Hollow Road, item number 10, as a Rural Rustic Road, which would not require the previously anticipated amount of reconstruction when the road is improved. Item 16, Belcoir Road reconstruction, has been deleted from the list. Item 23, Savannah Branch Road Bridge and approaches reconstruction has been moved up to item 16. The new item 23 is Spring Mill Road reconstruction.
Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors:
Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
Transportation Committee Recommendation:
On October 29, 2003, the Transportation Committee unanimously recommended approval of the Secondary Road Six Year Plan and Budget.
Financial Impact Analysis:
VDOT has submitted estimated program allocations and a budget for the Secondary System Construction Program for these proposed improvements.
