Topic: 

A Resolution to Authorize the Form and Execution of Leases at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport for T-Hangars and Tie-Downs and to Approve an Increase in Fees

Topic Description:

The Airport Committee reviewed and recommended revisions in the lease form used to rent space in T-Hangars and for tie-downs at the Warrenton-Fauquier Airport.  The County Attorney has reviewed and approved the form of the lease.  The Airport Committee has also authorized a more aggressive maintenance program at the Airport and has recommended an increase in the monthly rates for T-Hangar spaces as shown below:

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

Additional revenue will be available in the Airport Fund to carryout improved maintenance of Airport hangars and facilities.  The new rates and lease include provisions to pay leasehold taxes that are required under State statute, but also require additional staff resources to achieve compliance.
