The Code of Virginia, §15.2-2511, requires counties to
engage an audit firm to conduct an annual independent audit of
the financial records. The firm is required to submit a report
to the governing body at a public session by December 31 for the
prior fiscal year.
County staff and representatives from the County’s independent
audit firm of Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates will be present
to discuss (1) the annual financial report, (2) the audit
opinion, (3) the audit recommendations, and (4) staff’s
corrective action plan regarding the audit recommendations.
(Copies of the draft Comprehensive Annual Financial Report are
available in the Fauquier County
Board of Supervisors’ office, the Library and the
Finance Department for review upon request. A printed copy has
been provided to each member of the Fauquier County
Board of Supervisors. Due to the size of the document, the
