PROCLAMATION A
PROCLAMATION IN RECOGNITION OF LEE BELL UPON THE RECEIPT OF THE
WHEREAS, in 1964, Lee Bell began his employment with Fauquier
County Public Schools as a 7th grade teacher at Warrenton
Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, in 1968, Lee Bell left Fauquier County for a period of one
year to serve as an Elementary School Principal in Warren County; and
WHEREAS, in 1969, Lee Bell returned to Fauquier County Public
Schools to serve as the Elementary School Principal at P. B. Smith
Elementary School in Warrenton, Virginia; and
WHEREAS, upon the opening of the newly built C. Hunter Ritchie
Elementary School in the fall of 1990, Lee Bell began his service as C.
Hunter Ritchie’s first and only Principal; and
WHEREAS, in June of 2003, Lee Bell will have completed forty (40)
years of service in Public School education; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure with Fauquier County Public Schools, Lee
Bell has provided a safe, caring and excellent educational atmosphere for
students; and WHEREAS,
in November 2002, Lee Bell was the recipient of the Washington Post’s
Distinguished Educational Leadership Award; now, therefore, be it
PROCLAIMED by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors this 16th
day of December 2002, That the Board of Supervisors does hereby express
its appreciation for the many contributions of Lee Bell in providing
outstanding educational services for the students of Fauquier County; and,
be it
PROCLAIMED FURTHER, That the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors
extends its best wishes to Lee Bell in all future endeavors. ____________________________ Raymond
