Building & Permit Center
Permit Center staff intakes, processes and issues Building and Zoning Permits, as well as associated Administrative Permits for certain structures and uses. The staff reviews building construction plans for compliance with building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes and then inspects construction for compliance with these codes.
The staff also investigates complaints related to the building code, issuing stop-work orders on unpermitted activity and instituting legal proceedings where necessary to bring compliance.
