I) Pre-Application Meeting A pre-application meeting with County staff and review agencies is required.
- If the project will be served by the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority (FCWSA), a pre-design meeting is required. Contact FCWSA directly at (540) 349-2082 or visit the website at www.fcwsa.org.

1st Submission:
Additional Submission Requirements:
- Any additional requirements specified on the blue pre-application sheet provided at the pre-application meeting.
- Projects Served by Individual Septic - a complete application for Certification of a Drainfield by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), including all supporting documentation, must be submitted with this first submission. Contact the Fauquier office of VDH at (540)347-6363 or visit the office of Environmental Health at 98 Alexandria Pike, Suite 41 and 42 , Warrenton, VA. .
- Projects Served by Public Water and/or Sewer through FCWSA - Concurrent FCWSA and Community Development submissions are required. FCWSA checklist and submission requirements can be found at the www.fcwsa.org website under "Engineering, Construction and Planning."
NOTE: All submissions of Preliminary Plats and supplemental information shall be made directly to Fauquier County Community Development. Incomplete submissions will be rejected and returned to the applicant.
2nd Submission:
- No Fee
- 1 Comment/Response Letter for each review agency with comments
- 1 copy of revised plan for each review agency with comments, plus 2 additional copies
- FCWSA submission requirements can be found at the www.fcwsa.org website under "Engineering, Construction and Planning".
3rd & Subsequent Submissions:
- $400 Flat Fee
- 1 Comment/Response Letter for each review agency with comments
- 1 copy of revised plan for each review agency with comments, plus 2 additional copies
