How to Prepare for Recycling:

These materials are "ACCEPTABLE" in the used antifreeze tank:

Ethylene glycol based antifreeze
Glycol based coolants from chillers/HVAC systems
Propylene glycol based antifreeze
Ethylene glycol based de-icers/antifreeze

These materials are "NOT ACCEPTED" in the used antifreeze tank:

Radiator flush water Flammable liquids Transformer oil Refrigeration oil Parts cleaning solvent “Non-toxic” antifreeze Engine cleaner Fiberglass resin Gasoline Pain/paint thinner

Used oil Chlorinated solvents Metal working fluids Brake cleaner Carburetor cleaner Freon Brake fluid Ice melters Naphtha Hazardous waste

Why Recycle?

Similar to motor oil, antifreeze never wears out, it just gets dirty, and when filtered, it can be reused.
