Sheriff’s Office Asking

for Help in 2003 Murder

Investigation



The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office is appealing to the public for help in solving a 10-year-old murder case.

According to Sheriff Charlie Ray Fox, Jr., detectives are still pursing all leads in the April 9, 2003, murder of Bryan Michael Mace at his Elk Run Road home in Midland, VA.

Authorities believe Mace interrupted a burglary in progress. Mace was shot several times before the house was deliberately set on fire. Numerous firearms and other items were stolen from the residence.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
