Dear Farm Business Owner:

The Fauquier County Agricultural Development Department would like to offer local farm businesses the opportunity to be included in the 2011-2012 Fauquier County Farm Product and Services Directory. This directory will be available to the public and is an opportunity for free marketing for farm businesses. By including your farm’s name, the publication will enhance the consumer name recognition of your farm, and offer you a chance to enhance your farm’s relationships within the community. To be included in the 2011-2012 publication, please submit an application to the Agricultural Development Department by May 31, 2011.

If your farm business is already included in the Directory but you need to update your information, please contact Judy Dodson at (540) 422-8280.

The Agricultural Development Department would also like to offer local farm businesses the opportunity to register for the use of the Fauquier Agriculture HomeGrown label for your agricultural products. The label program is a method for consumers, retailers, restaurants, farmers markets, and wholesalers to solicit and promote locally grown produce or locally made goods by expanding buyer tendency through buyer recognition. To receive your own HomeGrown labels, please indicate your interest on the Directory application. This helps insure the prosperity and continuation of local farms.
