The
Computer Clubhouse Manager will develop, coordinate, and
implement the programs with the Computer Clubhouse. The
goal of the Clubhouse program is to inspire youth to develop
their personal interests through the use of technology.
Staff will be trained to involve youth in projects such as
creating computer-generated art, music, and video;
developing scientific simulations; designing animations;
building kinetic sculptures and robots; developing Web
pages; and programming computer games. The Computer
Clubhouse provides an environment where Clubhouse members
not only learn to be effective users of technology, but also
learn to be designers and creators of technology.
Participants are given the ability to:

communicate, and work in teams;

Develop, plan, and
execute complex projects; and

Become self confident
individuals.
The
Clubhouse program helps achieve the FCPRD’s primary goal of
enhancing the quality of life of all county citizens by
allowing persons who otherwise would not have access to
technology education to learn useful computer skills that
can translate into better jobs, family education and
community pride.
