Topic: 

A Resolution to Initiate Consideration of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to Add Property to the Marshall Mixed Use Plan Area

Topic Description:

The Marshall Service District Committee has made recommendations which are intended to create a mixed use gateway at the Route 17 entranceway to Marshall Service District.  At this point, it is appropriate to re-designate the medium density residentially planned property within this corridor to mixed use in accordance with the plan vision.

Requested Action of the Board of Supervisors: 

Consider adoption of the attached resolution.

Financial Impacts Analysis:

It is anticipated that the proposed amendment will result in rezonings which will increase the commercial tax base within the Marshall Service District.
