R. Holder Trumbo, Jr.
Mr. Holder Trumbo, Jr. was first elected to the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors to represent the Scott Magisterial District in 2008. Mr. Trumbo was elected again in 2012, and began his third term of public office on January 1, 2016.
Mr. Trumbo was born on September 24, 1965, and has been a lifelong resident of Fauquier County. He graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1987.
Mr. Trumbo is very active in the Fauquier County Community. He was the proprietor of the family grocery business until 2015. He has been a founding member of the Marshall Business and Residents Association since 1991. He served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in 2008 and 2011, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors in 2009, 2012 and 2013. Mr. Trumbo was appointed to the Fauquier County Planning Commission from 2004 through 2007, serving as its Chairman in 2007. He also served on the Capital Improvement Plan Citizen’s Review Committee. Mr. Trumbo is the Chairman of the New Baltimore Service District Comprehensive Plan Citizen’s Review group. He is also a representative for the Fauquier County Transportation Committee and serves on the Piedmont Workforce Network.
Mr. Trumbo is a member of Grace Bible Church in Marshall. He and his wife Heather Trumbo have three children: Julia, Tommy, and Alan. In his free time Mr. Trumbo enjoys skiing, sailing, and playing tennis.
