Architectural Review Board

Architectural Review Board

Through the authority enacted by the Code of Virginia, and as established by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, the mission of the Architectural Review Board shall be to protect against the deterioration, destruction of, or encroachment upon historic districts and cultural areas; encourage uses which will lead to their continuance, conservation, and improvement in an appropriate manner, and to assure that new structures and uses within each district will be in keeping with the character to be preserved and enhanced.

Technical Preservation Services   
Technical Preservation Services (TPS), a branch of the National Park Service, is the nation's leading provider of information and guidance on the care of historic buildings.  TPS offers free publications, ranging from technical assistance with window repairs and historic masonry to help with historic tax credits for rehabilitation projects.
