Erosion and Sediment Control
The Department of Community Development administers the County Erosion and Sediment Control Program. The Environmental Division reviews and approves the erosion and sediment control plans. An approved erosion and sediment control plan is required prior to the issuance of a land disturbing permit. The Environmental Division also performs bi-monthly erosion and sediment control inspections on all active development projects to ensure that all control measures are properly installed and maintained. For more information on the erosion and sediment control program, visit the Environmental Division at 540-422-8240.
