How do I request/suggest that the library purchase a book, DVD or other item?
First, check the library catalog to make sure the library does not have the desired item. If the item is not listed, fill out the online Suggest a purchase form (you will be prompted to log in to your online library account) or fill out a suggestion form in person at your local library. Please note that the library can only order items 3 months in advance of the item's publication date. If the title you are interested in isn't being published within the next 3 months, please submit your request at a later time. For more details, see How to Make Great Suggestions.

Will I be notified of the library’s decision regarding the item I suggested?
Due to the volume of suggestions received, we are not always able to notify you about a decision; however, we do value community members’ suggestions and purchase many of them.

Can you notify me when/if the item arrives?
If you would like to place a hold on a material that you've suggested, be sure to include your name and library card number on the Suggest a purchase form that you fill out online or at your local library. Library staff will place the item on hold for you if the item is purchased/added to the collection. We also encourage you to check the library catalog periodically. Once an item is listed in the catalog, you can place a reserve/hold, and you will be notified when the item is available for you to pick up.
