Science Surprises: Black History Month - During this program, elementary school-age students will learn about African-American scientists and inventors and do experiments based on their discoveries.

Girl Scout Story Time & Craft - Help local Girl Scouts earn their Silver Award; join us for a special Saturday morning story time and craft planned by a local Girl Scout troop.

Heroes and Hard Times - Recording artists and well-known performers Sparky and Rhonda Rucker appearing in honor of Black History Month; for the entire family; free; no registration; sponsored by the Friends of the Fauquier Library and brought to you by Bluemont.

Paws to Read - For rising 1st through 3rd graders; choose a favorite book to read aloud to a trained therapy dog. Signed permission slips are required before participating and are available at the library.

Free Tutoring for Students - Tutoring provided for students in elementary school and up by Liberty High School National Honor Society members. Please note that there will be no tutoring when schools are closed.

Story Times

Baby Steps - A 30-minute program for infants up to 18 months old. Babies will have fun bouncing, clapping, seeing finger plays and singing to rhymes and songs with their caregivers.

Half Pints - Stories, songs and activities for 18- to 30-month old children with a parent or caregiver.
