The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life for all people in Fauquier County. Working in a partnership with the people, the department shall provide the leadership to assure that citizens receive high quality recreational facilities and services, and to assure the preservation of local history.

• The Parks and Recreation would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Turkey Trot 5K. There were over 120 registered runners. Check out the 11th Annual Turkey Trot Race Results
  
  
• Winter Program Registration begins Monday, December 29, 2008.
  
  
• Bring your Christmas Tree to Crockett Park where it will be recycled as fish habitat in Germantown Lake. Trees must be natural with all ornaments and tinsel removed. Trees can be dropped off in the upper parking lot from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily from January 1st–February 15th, 2009.
