The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to the enhancement of the quality of life for all people in Fauquier County. Working in a partnership with the people, the department shall provide the leadership to assure that citizens receive high quality recreational facilities and services, and to assure the preservation of local history.

Welcome Fall with a FREE Concert on the Greenway on the Warrenton Branch Greenway, at the end of 4th Street South in Old Town Warrenton. The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department proudly presents Me and Martha, 2005 inductees into America’s Old Time Country Music Hall Of Fame. Me and Martha performances include traditional folk music, audience singalongs, guitar, banjo, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, stand up and a one-string pickin’ tub bass. The audience is led on an enjoyable journey though the music of the early settlers to today’s musical expressions. Bring the whole family, along with your own blankets and chairs.
- September 24th Movie Night Under the Stars! Featuring Cars at the
Marshall Community Center
- Enjoy a movie for the entire family alfresco-style at the Marshall Community Center. Free drinks and snacks! Bring chairs or a blanket, even the family dog (as long as park rules are observed; controlled on a leash, clean up, etc.). Come enjoy this unique experience! In case of rain, the movie will be shown in the auditorium. - NO DOGS are allowed in the auditorium. - Movie begins at dusk. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted by the Middleburg Humane Foundation which is a private, nonprofit farm shelter for animals in Marshall. Items needed are large rawhide bones or chips, dry or canned cat food, towels (new or used), bleach, and paper towels. Look for their truck at the entrance to the movie to deposit donations.

Good Times
in PDF Format
ENHANCED e-GOOD TIMES ONLINE SOON:
Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department will soon offer an enhanced online version of the GOOD Times publication. No longer will users have to flip through the pages of a PDF with little to no interactivity. This enhanced e-version will provide readers improved flexibility, interactivity and rich media features while having access to all of the programming material typically found in the Good Times publication. Powered through a unique e-publishing application, users can quickly search for their favorite activities or click on the side tabs to easily access programs by region or print off a registration form. Links will be activated and allow users to easily navigate to any hyperlink listed in the guide. These are just a few of the innovative features users will find while viewing the e-Good Times. Check back here to experience the Fall 2010 digital Good Times for yourself.
