Larry Weeks Community Pools at Vint Hill Pool Rules

The following pool rules are enforced to protect guest safety and health and to ensure a safe, enjoyable pool operation.
  1. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied b a supervising parent or guardian (16 years of age or older). The supervising person must be dressed in swimming attire and remain in the pool facility. The supervising person may be responsible for no more than 6 youths at a time.

  2. No eating permitted on deck. All food must be contained in the grass area.

  3. Glass containers and other breakable objects are not permitted in the pool facility. Food and drinks are allowed in designated grass areas only. No alcoholic beverages are permitted.

  4. Pets, except ADA compliant animals, are not permitted in the pool facility.

  5. Appropriate swimming attire is required. Cut-off shorts are not permitted. Street shoes are not permitted on the pool deck.

  6. Children not toilet trained must wear snug fitting swim diapers.

  7. The last 15 minutes of each hour are for adult, 18 years of age or older, swim only. During this time adults may take their infant (under 2 years of age) into the family pool. The Children’s Pool will be closed during this time.

  8. Pool patrons are encouraged to “shower off” before entering or re-entering the pool.

  9. Any person with infectious disease, nasal or ear discharge, exposed sub-skin tissue or wearing a bandage may not use this pool.

  10. Oversized T-Shirts are not permitted as they make it difficult to rescue or assist a swimmer.

  11. Playing ball is only allowed at the discretion of the pool manager.

  12. Small floating toys are permitted in the Children’s Pool at the discretion of the pool manager.

  13. Diving or flipping into the pool from any area of the pool deck is inherently dangerous and therefore, not permitted, regardless of water depth.

  14. Guests unable to demonstrate the ability to swim the width of the pool and to wade well in deep water will not be allowed in water depths over their shoulders.

  15. Swimming masks and snorkels are prohibited. Goggles are a recommended alternative.

  16. Chewing gum is not allowed in the pool facility.

  17. No toys or floats greater than 12” are allowed in the family pool.

  18. Coast Guard approved, foam filled life vests are the only permitted swimming aids. Wearer must remain in shallow water within arms reach of a supervising adult.

  19. Please do not distract or talk to the lifeguards in the lifeguard stands. Direct all questions and comments to the pool manger or cashiers.

  20. Lifeguard instructions must be obeyed. Repeat violators may be ejected from the premises.

  21. Please observe posted signs. Areas may be restricted for use (swim lessons, lap swim, training).

ROUGHNESS, PUSHING, BACKWARD JUMPING, DIVING, HOURSEPLAY, SHOULDER RIDES, DUNKING, SNAPPING TOWELS, RUNNING OR THE USE OF ABUSIVE OR PROFANE LANGUAGE IS PROHIBITED AND GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE POOL COMPLEX.
