The Eastern Region Office is located inside the Vint Hill Village Green Community Center (gymnasium). Our goal is to provide greater recreation services to this region of Fauquier County by utilizing the facilities acquired at Vint Hill and schools.

At Vint Hill Village Green we are committed to renewing the life of the citizens and the Vint Hill recreation facilities. Many programs and activities are planned for the Eastern Region.

When the US Army closed its Vint Hill Farms Station base in 1997, the property was sold to the Vint Hill Economic Development Authority (VHEDA) for redevelopment into Vint Hill, a mixed-use business park. The recreational areas of the former base were donated to the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Board. The Parks and Recreation Board and the Board of Supervisors envisioned a community-based park, expanding upon the existing gymnasium, tennis courts and playing fields. The Parks and Recreation Department has worked with Resource Planners, a distinguished recreation design and architecture firm from Richmond, and developed an approved site plan incorporating a new public swimming pool that opened in May 2003.

The ultimate goal is to make the park a true community based recreational area where all residents, especially those in the eastern region, can come together to enjoy the many existing, new and planned activities. Further development of the area will continue until the goal is fully established.

For more details on Eastern Region programs call (540) 347-6894

Registration dates will be posted in the GoodTimes.
