MIDDLEBURG MAN ATTEMPTS
TO ELUDE POLICE
On March 16, 2006 at approximately 1:20 a.m. DFC D. E. Hamblin of the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office pursued a speeding motorcycle traveling westbound on John S. Mosby Highway. When DFC Hamblin initiated a traffic stop in the 10000 block, the driver accelerated.
Upon entering Clarke County the operator abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot.
The driver, James Allen Costello, 25 year old male of East Federal Street in Middleburg, Virginia, was arrested and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Drive Suspended, Attempt to Elude and No Motorcycle License.
Mr. Costello is scheduled to appear on May 26, 2006 in the Fauquier County General District Court.
