Multiple Attempted
Commercial Burglaries in
Southern Fauquier area

During the early morning hours of Sunday, December 30, 2012, several businesses along the Rt 17 corridor in southern Fauquier County were the target of attempted break-ins.

Responding to alarms at the Morrisville Mini-Mart at 1:10 AM and Opal Mini-Storage at 2:46 AM deputies discovered doors pried open at these businesses.

Following this deputies conducted business checks in the area and located other attempted burglaries at the Goldvein General Store in Goldvein and Pete’s Park and Eat in Opal.

It appears the perpetrators were travelling north on Rt 17 attempting to break in to businesses along the highway. None of the businesses affected were entered and nothing was taken.
