County Calendar

Purpose

The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Board serves as a liaison between the Fauquier County government and citizens of the community.  The Board advises the County government on matters affecting recreation policies, programs, acquisitions or disposal of lands and properties related to the County's parks and recreation plan.  

Authority

The Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Board was established by Ordinance adopted by the Board of Supervisors in 1972, in accordance with the provisions of § 15.2- 5701 and § 15.2-5702 of the Code of Virginia.

Term

Board members serve four(4) year staggered terms, ending September 30.

Meetings

The Parks and Recreation Board meets quarterly (January, April, July & October) on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  For details on the next meeting, call (540) 422-8550 or subscribe to the Parks and Recreation Board e-Notification service.
