Purpose

The Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) manages the cooperative effort in the community to better serve the needs of troubled and at-risk youths and their families and to maximize the use of state and community resources.

Authority

The Community and Policy Management Team is established pursuant to Sections 2.2-5204 & 2.2-5205 of the Code of Virginia.

Term

Agency Heads or their designees of Code mandated organizations shall be permanent members of the management team.  Other appointed public or government agency management team members shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors and may serve unlimited terms.  Parent representatives and private providers shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors and shall serve an initial one-year term to be followed by one-year automatically renewable terms until a replacement is duly appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
