Participants learn to separate gold flakes from sand, rocks, and dirt using the traditional gold prospector's technique of panning. Demonstrations are held at 2 pm Wednesday through Sunday, when weather conditions are appropriate. Pre-registration is not required. Ages under 13 must have an adult chaperone.
