This NRA certified course focuses on the care, cleaning, selection, and safe use of a firearm, as well as a USCCA developed Mini Course that focuses on conflict avoidance, de-escalation and situational awareness. Upon completion, each student will receive an NRA certificate to be used to apply for a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit. Class consists of 4 hours of classroom instruction followed by 2 hours of live shooting & basic pistol qualification. Students are encouraged to bring their own firearm but one may be provided if needed. Ammunition may be supplied by the participant or purchased at Clark Brothers.
