Adult Paranormal Investigations: Chapman-Beverley Mill
This historic grist mill is located in the Thoroughfare Gap near Broad Run. Built in 1742 by John Chapman, it is the tallest stacked stone building in the United States. During the span of five wars, the mill supplied food and ground lime and acted as a vital hub for agricultural and industrial expansion during the 20th century. The mill was gutted by fire in 1998.
Long before the mill was built, the Thoroughfare Gap was used by migrating buffalo and then Iroquois, Sioux (Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota people), and Algonquin Native Americans.
