Adult Paranormal Investigations: John Marshall Building
In 1925, this building served as the Fauquier County Hospital. The 20-bed hospital was in the old Garner House. The building was purchased by the Fauquier County Hospital Association from Mrs. Garner for $14,000 in 1924. By the end of 1925, 344 patients had been admitted to the hospital, there were 184 operations and 57 emergency treatments. Twenty-two babies were born there that year.
Before the Garner house was built, an outbuilding on the property was the law office of John Marshall, who went on to become a justice of the United States Supreme Court. That building was lost to the Great Warrenton Fire in 1909.
